New Zealand National Team Star Player Signing!

The Lac La Biche Lakers are pleased to announce the signing of Samson Middleton!!!

The 18 year-old 6ft 175 Pound Forward hails from Christchurch New Zealand has spent some time in the 2023-24 season with the Canterbury Red Devils of the NZIHL pro league. In New Zealand this is the top level of Men's hockey in the Country!!  From 2022-24 Samson has been a prominent leader on the U18 Canterbury feeder team in the U18 inter--provincial championships, earning the title of top forward in that tournament and leading the tournament in points! 

On top of that Samson has played in 2022/23 with the New Zealand Men's National U18 team, where he helped lead his team to a gold medal in South Africa in the 3B IIHF division world championships. Most recently, Samson played in the 3A IIHF world championships in Turkey in March of 2024!
